STRIX

If you have ever wondered why we cover our faces with owls, it is not just because we are too lazy to apply makeup (although that is a definite factor) but mainly just because we love owls. Hence, naming the blog STRIX, the ancient roman and greek word for owl, a bird with ill omen. While Claudia is more inclined to draw owls, such as the one positioned over our faces at all times. I prefer to wear owls, see the slightly tacky H&M ring below and spent many weeks trying to acquire a piece of Gemma Degara's owl inspired collection.   Some owl inspiration for you..

The search

(Images via Jak &Jil, Fashion gone Rogue)

Pink tones are going to be everywhere this summer, from Lim's barely there subtle pink nudes to Raf Simon's bordering on neon pink. The hunt is on for the perfect pink knit.
Any ideas?

Yoshiko

I am home from Japan, and feeling jet lagged. So instead of pretending to try and sleep I'll share some of the beautiful things I saw. Namely this fantastic jewellery by Yoshiko Creation Paris. I like my jewellery to be unexpected in some way, not too pretty. These pieces immediately caught my eye; the designs are daring but beautifully executed. This is not jewellery for wallflowers!
